In case you´ve ever been to a graffiti jam, you might have put some thought into how much work it takes to organize such an event. And if you´ve tried yourself to get a couple of guys together to paint, you know even more that you need a lot of energy for something like this. That some writers are not the most reliable people is just the first problem. Power supply, permissions, music, food, material, trash, getting a budget – jams are hard work. So it´s even nicer to know and see that there are certain guys who are willing to handle the hustle just because they love what they are doing and to let that whole culture grow. All of that next to their everyday business and life. And when all of this happens in your hometown, it makes you even prouder. The guys PEREZ, HUCKLE/MARY and BBOY TOMEK brought the Mytype Jam back to the palace garden. There was painting with boys from all over Germany, Poland and Switzerland, live music, BBoy battles and foodtrucks. All of this supported by your friendly can producer from the neighborhood. Even though the weather was not amazing, everybody had a great time. Exchanging with companions from the first hour, checking out the next generation and enjoying the excitement how far graffiti has made it in my hometown in the last 22 years. Thank you big time, Mannheim!
