A couple of days ago the guys from the Montana headquarter asked me to join them for a colorful day to test the Montana acrylic marker on wooden surfaces. And so we spent a day in my hometown Mannheim with a gigantic box full of markers, a couple of good friends and the passion to sketch for a whole day. Because wood tends to soak up a lot of liquid, we’ve started with a rough layer of primer. The results were really juicy colors and clean lines – not bad at all. Also the color range of those water based markers is quite impressive. And if you can’t find this one special shade you are looking for, there is always the option to mix it. For all those blackbook fanatics and canvas heroes among you, this is a tool which you just have to have. A special higlight is – in my eyes – the clear coat marker. You can achieve a professional all over finish or just highlight a certain part of your artwork. Wicked stuff!
